People come to coaching for different reasons.
They may be under pressure at work or home. Feeling stuck or without a clear sense of direction.
Trying to make changes they haven't been able to sustain alone.
What they share is a sense that something needs to shift, and that the right support would make all the difference.
Reframe gives you evidence-informed support to understand what needs to change, overcome the barriers and build a more sustainable way of living.
Is this for you?
Coaching is well suited to people who want to make meaningful changes to their
wellbeing and would benefit from structured, professional support to do so. You may
recognise one or more of the following:
• A persistent sense that your work and personal life are out of balance
• Difficulty managing pressure, or a feeling that demands consistently outpace
your capacity to recover
• Low energy, reduced motivation, or a loss of direction
• Health habits such as sleep, exercise, nutrition, or alcohol that have
deteriorated and are affecting how you feel and function
• A clear sense of what needs to change, but difficulty putting that into
consistent practice
Wellbeing is personal. Where we start depends entirely on what is most relevant to
you.

What is mental health coaching?
Mental health coaching is a structured, evidence-informed approach to improving
your wellbeing. It is not therapy and does not involve diagnosis or clinical treatment.
If it becomes clear at any point that a different kind of support would serve you
better, that will be discussed openly.
The focus is practical and future-oriented. Sessions work from where you are now
toward where you want to be; identifying what is getting in the way, building clearer
strategies and making progress that holds over time.
The approach draws on solution-focused and evidence-informed methods; working
with your own motivations and resources rather than prescribing what change should look like. You bring the knowledge of your own life and circumstances; the coaching
provides structure, honest challenge, and a consistent focus on what matters most to
you.
The process is collaborative and built around your goals. It is not a standard
programme. The pace, focus, and methods are shaped entirely by what you need.

Areas we work on
Wellbeing is shaped by many different parts of life, and progress in one area often
has a wider positive effect. Sessions can focus on any of the following, depending on
what is most relevant for you:
Stress & Burnout
Understanding the sources of pressure in your life, building a more reliable capacity to manage them day to day, and developing the conditions for sustained recovery from difficulty.
Sleep & Rest
Identifying what is disrupting your sleep, examining the thinking and habits around it, and developing more consistent, restorative patterns.
Work Demands & Boundaries
Looking at workload, the pressures around performance, and what a sustainable working life can realistically look like for you.
Energy & Motivation
Exploring what is contributing to low energy or a reduced sense of direction, and working towards greater clarity and purpose.
Physical Wellbeing
If exercise, nutrition, alcohol, or rest have slipped and you are aware it is affecting how you feel, examining why previous attempts at change have not held and developing an approach that is realistic for your life.
Habits & Patterns
Identifying the thinking and behaviours that consistently pull you off course, and building the conditions for more lasting change.
Resilience
Understanding what shapes your capacity to cope with difficulty, identifying what depletes and what builds your reserves, and developing a more sustainable relationship with stress and setback.
We do not attempt to address everything at once. The focus is determined by what
matters most to you.
About Ed
Background
I am a mental health and wellbeing coach with a background in social work, and a
first-hand understanding of what it means to need support and not know quite where
to find it.
I spent a number of years working in demanding professional environments. That
experience gave me a genuine insight into the pressures that accumulate over time,
and the coping strategies people develop that can feel necessary in the short term
but come at a cost. I have had to do a considerable amount of that work on myself. I
have been sober for eight years, and developing sustainable ways of managing
stress and difficulty is something I understand from direct experience, not just
professional training.
Qualifications
I hold an Advanced Diploma in Mental Health and Wellbeing Coaching from
Kingstown College; a qualification covering cognitive behavioural coaching, positive
psychology, motivational interviewing, resilience, and workplace mental health,
among other disciplines. I am also a qualified personal trainer and yoga instructor,
and I draw on all of these because physical and mental health are not separate
concerns. How we move, sleep, eat, and rest has a direct bearing on how we think
and feel.
I practise in accordance with the ethical guidelines of the EMCC and ICF, and
engage in regular professional supervision.
